I guess this post is about a week late, but as expected there has not been time to write many posts...
Well it took a week or so, but we finally discovered last week why Kevin refused to eat out of the Avent bottles that we were using. For the first few days he was home when we tried to give him a Avent bottle he would just shake his head and refuse to drink from it. Luckily we had 1 Gerber bottle sitting around. It was a big bottle for an older kid, that we only had because we used it for the Jelly Bean counting contest at the baby shower. Kevin would drink just fine out of that bottle so we just had to keep cleaning and reusing that bottle for the first few days. Alex would eat of of some nipples and not others, but we could not figure out why. So we just kept putting the ones that he wouldn't eat from off to the side, and cleaned and reused the few that he seamed OK with.
When we got out of the house for the first time we went to Target we decided to take a look at the Avent nipples to see if we could find other ones that might work better since all of our bottles were Avent. Looking at the nipples at the store we discovered that on the back of them there is a number ( 1- 5 ). The #1 nipples come with the newborn sized bottles and the #2s came with bigger bottles . For some reason the boys just hate the #1s. So we bought a few more #2s and skipped over the #1s all together. Now they eat great.
